The proposal….

…of the decade. Seriously this might be the sweetest most thoughtful proposal I’ve ever witnessed, not to mention super romantic. Aaron surprised Meredith with this engagement, she had absolutely no idea. He had to secretly plan and execute this proposal without blowing it, and he pulled it off perfectly. He had several family members (meredith’s my cousin) invovled and everyone had a part and a job. Meredith was under the impression that she was going to a Mother’s Day dinner on Saturday evening, all the while other plans were being made. Aaron had planned a scavenger hunt for Meredith to all these places around Dallas that had meaning between them, like Dave and Busters, where they earned enough tickets to buy a Wii, the Rusty Taco, a favorite Tex/Mex place, and a few other places. A family member was stationed at each spot with a card, flower and a poem to lead her to the next check point. The final desitination was at White Rock Lake where the two of them have spent much time running around the lake. It was there, that he had set up streamers, a table with an engraved wine bottle, pictures of the two of them, pretty plants and urns, and flowers, all of which had meaning.He was so nervous while waiting for her to get to the lake, where he was pacing back and forth trying to keep the curious people passing by not to mess with his stuff. Thankfully no one messed with it, but there were so many people that were interested in what was going on. I was hiding on a park bench near by and she couldn’t see me. The very last picture is of her realizing I was the one taking her pics..she was soooo surprised. I love how these images tell the story. I hope you can follow along. I told him he was settin’ the bar kind of high for the rest of their lives, but he welcomed the challenge. Congratulations you two, so happy for you both. It was such a perfect day.

Meet Bob and Juju. This couple is family to me. Well, we aren’t exactly related, but I kind of feel like we are. When I first moved to Norman, they took me in, made me dinner, let me stay over at their house when I thought that my house got broken into and I was scared to death and I woke up to bagels and cream cheese in the morning. I knew right then and there, it was the start to a beautiful friendship. They truly show the love of Jesus to so many people. I feel like they are my second set of parents. My husband is best friends with one of their sons and his wife is one of my best friends, so its pretty fun. Anyway, they have 3 amazing boys and betwen them and their wives, they have 13 grandchildren…at the moment, I’m sure it won’t be long until another baby comes along. It is nearly impossible to get that many kids to look at the camera at the same time, but this was the best I could do. Enjoy the sneak peek.

This session is from one of my mini sessions and I love the soft whimsy of these. It was EXTREMELY windy on this day, if you can’t tell. It was a little tricky to get some pics where the girls hair wasn’t all over the place, but I definitely think we got some keepers. Aren’t these girls just the cutest and not to mention gorgeous!!!!

How much do you love his hair? So cool, right. Meet Christian. I’ve heard through the grapevine that he has a killer voice. He was so much fun to hang out with and I absolutely love how these turned out.

What’s the last thing you ate? 2 PB & J’s. I’ve had the same thing every single day when I get home from school.

What are your plans next year? Going to OU.

What’s the first thing you’d do with $1 million dollars? Buy a really sweet car.

Mother’s Day Tea

Each year at my daugthers preschool they have so many fun activities and events but one of my favorite events is the Mother’s Day Tea. The kiddos sing songs, and we have finger sandwhiches and punch and they make us cute little gifts…it melts me. Anyway, on our street there are these crazy wild flowers that grow as tall as my little girl and they are her favorite color…blue, so we had to take a few pics of them on our way to school for the Mother’s Day tea. These images just show how fun and spunky she is, she literally has a smile on her face all the time and leaps and bounds every where she goes. She brings so much joy to our lives. She’s getting so tall. Makes me so sad. Her dress is from Target and shoes from Garnet Hill. Wish they made this in my size..I would have totally bought it. I love all the colors.

So my computer broke last week. I mean died…death….bad. So while it was in the shop, it gave me a chance to do the things I should be doing more of…like playing sidewalk chalk with my little girl. It was such a beautiful day and we had so much fun. Taken with my iphone.

London’s Baptism

I love this sweet boy. He made the decision to follow Jesus last year and last weekend he was ready to get baptized. We had church in the park and it was sprinkling just a tad, but London and a bunch of other cool people got to be baptized in a trough in the back of a pick up. It looks kind of red neck, but its pretty fun if you ask me. We had such a celebration. Landry and London got baptized on the same day which was so fun.

T-ball & Baseball

Springtime around the Stover household is just nuts. Besides the fact that it is busy shooting season with seniors and brides, and mini sessions and families, we have lots and lots of tball practices and baseball games. My youngest and oldest(twin) are playing the sport and are doing so great. Here are a few pics I took with my phone. I mean how cute are they?
